Itinerary

Day One
Arrive at the Rovos Rail Station in Pretoria for a mid-afternoon departure. Once you have settled in to your beautiful cabin, a work of art in itself, enjoy some free time exploring the stunning details of your moving home from home, before sitting down to an evening dinner courtesy of talented on board chefs.

Day Two
Following a sumptuous breakfast the train will arrive in Kimberley. Here passengers have the opportunity to visit the Big Hole the world’s largest man-made excavation site and the Diamond Mine Museum. Departing early afternoon, an overnight journey will take you on to Matjiesfontein via De Aar and Beaufort West, with another succulent dinner served on board.

Day Three
Arriving into Matjiesfontein early-morning, this historic village is like a living museum, preserved in all its Victorian colonial glory. After spending time perusing the charming streets, board the train late-morning for the final leg of your odyssey, passing by the Touws River and Worcester before finally finishing in Cape Town in the early evening, leaving you free to enjoy the nightlife of this cosmopolitan city.
