Like a holy trinity of fabulous cities, the Venice Simplon-Orient Express route from Venice to Paris, via Prague, is a journey of distinction to say the least. After boarding the world’s most famous and beautiful train you will pass through some of Europe’s finest scenery before calling at the medieval capital of Czech Republic, with its wonderful landmarks and enchanting ambience, before enjoying more time on the move in truly opulent style and finally arriving in France’s iconic city of romance. Itinerary

Day 1
Arrive at Venice Santa Lucia station to find the Venice Simplon Orient Express ready to take you away from Italy’s famous city on the lagoon. Once departed in the early-evening and settled in, head to the luxurious Restaurant Car to enjoy a sumptuous four-course dinner as prepared by the onboard French chefs, before either retiring to your cabin  now a cosy bedroom or moving on to the Bar Car to indulge in elegant drinks.

Day 2
Breakfast will be brought to your cabin by the steward, at a time to suit you, then enjoy a morning at leisure, either watching the world go by out of the window or exploring the fine details of the Orient Express. Later, enjoy a fabulous three-course lunch in one of the opulent restaurant cars, before the train pulls into Smichov Station, Prague, mid-afternoon, where a transfer will be waiting to take you to your chosen hotel for a two-night stay.

Day 3
Wake to find yourself in Prague, one of the most atmospheric and charming European cities. Sights such as Hradcany Castle and the quaint streets of the Old Town are all in striking distance, so choose to explore the history of this incredible destination, or head to one of the many museums and galleries for a cultural experience unlike any other.

Day 4
Spend the morning at leisure before making your way back to Smichov Station in Prague for a mid-afternoon departure. Once on the move, afternoon tea will be served in your cabin by the steward, and then later a four-course dinner will be prepared for you to enjoy in the comfort of the stunning restaurant cars. After dining, head to the Bar Car for a late-evening liqueur while mingling with the other passengers, or simply retire to your cabin, which has now been converted into a cosy bedroom.

Day 5
Wake up to enjoy a relaxed breakfast in the comfort of your cabin, before the train pulls into Paris mid-morning, leaving you with the entire day to explore France’s marvellous and famously romantic capital.
